The Cult has been hailed by critics as being “incendiary,” “ground-breaking” and “transcendent.” In fact, late 80’s release of The Electric went on to be featured in the book of “1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die.” The Electric album wasn’t the only one getting recognition. In 2012, Choice of Weapon was released and the 10 track album has been said to be the band’s most revealing and rawest album. The Los Angeles Times claims that, “Choice of Weapon is centered on the same kind of stormy guitar riffs and sweeping vocals that fueled the Cult’s most beloved songs.” Come down to see The Cult perform live at The Paramount and cross another must see band off your list.
