The Paramount in Huntington, Long Island, New York, is excited to host up and coming local music star Jon Bellion live in concert on Thursday, December 8th, 2016 @ 8 PM. The concert will be presented by 106.1 BLI FM radio and is billed as their “Home for the Holidays” show. The event will also benefit Cohen Children’s Medical Center, a member of Northwell Health (formally North Shore-LIJ Health System).
Strictly a producer at age 14, Lake Grove’s Jon Bellion became increasingly fed up with being asked for generic records. After literally giving singing and rapping “a shot” out of frustration 1 year ago, the Sachem North High School graduate Bellion, has developed an incredibly unique lane untouched by anyone. His obsession with moving forward and experimentation has driven him to create “solid and refreshing tunes”, and in the words of Jon himself “that’s all that really matters”. Set to open for Twenty One Pilots on their 2017 tour, Bellion will perform live on stage for one night only at The Paramount in Huntington for his first hometown headline concert.
Also performing at the event, special guest Nick Tangorra will showcase why he is also a rising Long Island star. With over 27 million streams, Epic Recording Artist Tangorra just released his latest single, “Boo Hoo” which is now available for purchase and streaming on iTunes and Spotify. Nick Tangorra has performed at The Paramount as a special guest 3 times, opening for the likes of Meghan Trainor, Bridget Mendler & Fifth Harmony in recent years. This will be Tangorra’s first direct support slot at The Paramount, as he puts his talents on display for this long awaited & highly anticipated return to the stage.
The “106.1 BLI Home for the Holidays” Concert at The Paramount will feature some of Long Island’s newest and talented musicians with special guests to be added in the coming weeks. A portion of the proceeds for this event will go to benefit the Cohen Children’s Medical Center, one of the nation’s preeminent children’s hospitals. Cohen Children’s is dedicated exclusively to the care of children and committed to providing the most sophisticated, state-of-the-art, family-centered care in all major clinical areas.
The Paramount is excited to host this special musical event where local artists will take the stage to show the world why Long Islanders make the best music! WITH SPECIAL GUEST: THE JANES
“The Janes” are a 5 member girl group from NY consisting of Llyra, 21, Jaime, 22, Kelly, 19, Bella, 17, and Tayla, 20. The group has a soulful pop sound with intricate harmonies. Formed in the summer of 2014, the group underwent a rigorous development program before any content was ever released. The girls trained 12 hours a day on vocals, dancing, media and interview training, performance, and most importantly- the ins, outs, ups, and downs of being a part of a group. The Janes built their social media from the ground up- not only by releasing soulful renditions of popular cover songs and getting millions of views on YouTube and Facebook, but by gorilla marketing: going into malls and densely populated areas and singing live a capella for the crowds winning over fans one at a time. Today, at 100,000 followers on Instagram, 100 live performances, and with original music out that has over a million streams on Spotify and thousands of sales on iTunes independently, the girls are well developed, poised, and prepared to take their career to the next level.
