Hailing from Brooklyn, New York, rocker/songwriter Eddie Money began his early years as a cop studying at the New York Police Academy before relocating to San Francisco and becoming a popular fixture around the Bay Area rock scene. On his 1977 eponymous Columbia Records debut, fans were introduced to Money’s unmistakable emotive voice and blue-collar rock ‘n’ roll appeal, with songs such as “Baby Hold On” and “Two Tickets to Paradise” quickly rising on the charts and catapulting the hard-working musician to stardom.
