The Paramount Comedy Series Presents – Rodney Carrington: Here Comes The Truth

Friday, October 23rd 2015

In 2014, Rodney Carrington released two of his albums on his brand new label Laughter’s Good, debuted his new You Tube series Bit By Bit, and continued his tour “Here Comes The Truth”. SiriusXM radio recently did a “Rodney Carrington Takeover Special” on their Blue Collar Comedy Channel, and CMT aired two of Rodney’s specials Laughter’s Good and Live at the Majestic.  Rodney can also be seen and heard every Sunday on ESPN2 in the intro for Colin’s Football Show with Colin Cowherd during the NFL season. The first two albums released on Laughter’s Good Records were the re-mastered C’Mon Sing You Bastards with 3 new, previously unreleased songs, and a brand new album and DVD called Laughter’s Good.

This multi-million selling artist has also released eight major label albums, garnered Gold and Platinum records, had his own sitcom, Rodney on ABC; a co-starring role in a major movie, Beer for my Horses with Toby Keith; and a one-hour Comedy Central special. He regularly sells out concerts in the U.S. and Canada.  Rodney has appeared on countless other TV shows, including the ACA (American Country Awards), hosted the American Country New Year’s Eve Live show on Fox, and had his own Comedy Central and CMT specials. He won “Supporting Character of the Year” from the CMT Music Video Awards for his appearance on the Trace Adkins’ music video “I Got My Game On,” and starred in a comedy sketch music video of his song entitled, “If I’m the Only One,” with guest appearances by Jennifer Aspen (Rodney, GCB, Glee), Nick Searcy (Rodney, Justified) and Toby Keith which aired on CMT.

Another of Rodney’s projects of which he is very proud is the Rodney Carrington Foundation, a 501c(3)which he founded that benefits charities who need a helping hand. Rodney added “author” to his list of accomplishments with the release of his first hard cover book entitled Rodney Carrington, Coming Clean published by Hatchette Books.  According to Pollstar, Rodney has been one of the top ten highest grossing touring comedians for the last ten years and among the top 4 or 5 the last several years. Rodney’s popularity derives, in large part, from his connection with his audience, both at his live shows, and through social media. And so far in 2015, he shows no signs of slowing down!

I've been to tons of concerts, but I had never been to a comedy show, I'm a huge Rodney fan since I discovered him about 7 years ago. I went to this show with high expectations and he exceeded all of them. I fell out of my chair on several occasions and was singing along to all of his songs. Rodney is great at what he does and no doubt will I be seeing him perform again. Great show Rodney
We've seen several of his performances (on t.v.) and we've had his CD's over the years, but this was our first live show. He was even more hysterical than we expected, if that's even possible. We laughed non-stop, literally. New material, with a sprinkling of his classics everybody looks forward to. Well worth every single penny of the pit-section tickets.
I drove with my husband 7 hours from Texas to see this show. Within 2 minutes of him coming on stage, I was crying from laughing so hard! It was worth every minute of driving to come and hear Rodney. He was real, he spoke from the heart sometimes, but had the most hilarious punch line for every subject. It was the perfect medicine for 2 stressed out people! Wonderful job again!
Rodney is much funnier live than on his albums if that's possible. The two hour show only felt like 20 minutes because it was entertaining from start to finish. My husband and I had a blast. My cheeks hurt from laughing all night.
Rodney was at top form. Our group laughed from the moment he took the stage till the moment he left. I HIGHLY recommend Rodney, he is genius and connects with everyone in attendance. He is my new favorite comedian!
